Memorial 5K Run

Love a good cross country race? Join us for a 5K along the Eastern Illinois University
(EIU) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country course, August 28, 2010. This annual race honors
the memory of Ryan Meece, who passed away September 1, 2009. Ryan was a beloved husband
and father, and a member of the 1993-
Race Details
The 5K course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills, and the terrain is a mix of grass and gravel. The race starts and finishes near the EIU Lantz Pond Pavilion.
We’ll have a kids’ fun run at 7:45, just before the start of the 5K race. Register online by August 26 or on race day by 7:30. Shirts are not guaranteed for those registering on race day.
Water will be available along the course, and food and beverages will be provided after the race.

Race Registration
You can register online through August 26, or on race day until 7:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25 regardless of how you register, but people registering on race day are not guaranteed a race shirt. NOTE: Only cash or check accepted on race day.
Race proceeds go to select EIU Cross Country and Track & Field scholarships, and Ryan’s children’s education funds.
